The Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) announced on Tuesday its weekly award winners for men's basketball, selecting Colin Kahl of the University of the South for his efforts in his two games this past week.

Totaling 54 points in two games this past week, he knocked down 20-of-24 (83.3%) from the field, 4-of-6 from long distance and 10-of-14 from the charity stripe. On ball control, he grabbed 17 rebounds, dished out seven assists and also swatted away seven shots.

In the University of the South's regular season finale with Centre College on Feb. 15, Kahl knocked down 28 points on 10-of-11 shooting and added eight rebounds and a career-best five blocks. Inside the arc, he was a perfect 7-of-7.

Sunday in the SAA Tournament Quarterfinal vs. Oglethorpe University, the Roswell, Ga. native scored 16 of his 26 points in the second half. Additionally, he scored 14 straight points to give Sewanee the lead for good in the second half, capped by a 3-pointer, 53-52, with 13:20 left in the game. Shooting 10-of-13 from the floor, he was a perfect 6-of-6 in the final 20 minutes.

Grabbing nine rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, Kahl also contributed three assists and two blocks.

Kahl and the rest of the Tigers return to action on Saturday for the semifinals of the SAA Tournament. Sewanee, listed as the No. 3 seed, will take Rhodes, the two-seed, at 5 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. CT from The Cage Center on the campus of Berry College.
