The Motlow Bucks held off a late rally by Dyersburg State and beat the Eagles 77-75 Saturday afternoon at Copperweld Arena.
Motlow (7-17, 4-11) avenged an early-season loss to the Eagles (13-8, 9-5) and won for the second time in its last three games. Motlow will travel to Columbia State (20-4, 11-3) on Saturday, Feb. 18. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Bucks led most of the way against the Eagles, including 35-33 at halftime. Each time Dyersburg made a run, the Bucks answered.
Dylan Wade had a season-high 18 rebounds for Motlow while scoring 13 points. LaVonte Harris led Motlow in scoring with 17 points and added seven rebounds, four steals, two assists, and two blocked shots.
Kolbe Gray hit two big baskets late in the game to hold off the Eagles' comeback attempt and finished with 10 points, four assists, three rebounds, and two steals.
Kane Reed scored eight points, Debron Russell and Mi'Quan Tucker each scored seven, and Javon Martin had six points and five rebounds.
Motlow shot 39.5 percent from the field, 29.6 percent from 3-point range, and connected on 9-14 free throws. The Bucks pulled down 50 rebounds and had 16 assists and 14 steals.
