Ryan Demit/Men's Golf | The University Of The South
The University of the South men's golf team ended the fall schedule ranked 18th in the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll and 19th in the GolfStat rankings.
The Tigers are coming off a seventh place showing a the O'Briant Jensen Memorial on Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at Greensboro, N.C. The team fired a 593 in the 54-hole event.
This fall, the Purple and White averaged 297.2 strokes in 11 rounds. The 287 from the Second Round at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational on Oct. 17 is the season-low to this point.
The Tigers have had four sub-70 scores this fall, led by Pearse Lucas on Sept. 18 at the Rhodes Fall Invitational.
So far this season, Lucas leads the team with a 73 stroke average, while Ryan Demit is second with a 73.45.
Sewanee will return to the links in early March for the Savannah Invitational.
