The University Of The South Men's Soccer Falls in SAA Semi Finals

On Friday, November 4th, the Sewanee Men's Soccer team traveled to Memphis to take on Birmingham Southern in the SAA Semi Finals. Two first half BSC goals turned out to be the difference, as the Panthers came away with a 2-1 win to advance to the finals. 

INSIDE THE MATCH UP
(6) Birmingham Southern 2, (2) Sewanee 1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Birmingham Southern got on the board less than 10 minutes into the game, finishing a shot right in front of the goal.
- Sewanee would take seven shots in the next 40 minutes, but were unable to find the goal.
- The Panthers made it a 2-0 lead with a goal off of a corner kick in the 38th minute.
- Sewanee got on the board in the 42nd minute when Austin Miller finished a cross to give Sewanee momentum going into the half.
- The Tigers took seven shots in the second half, but could not tie the game. 

KEY SEWANEE STATISTICS
- JP Furman had four saves.
- Ausitn Miller scored his third goal of the year.

KEY BIRMINGHAM SOUTHERN STATISTICS
- Giacomo Mangrini had seven saves. 

WHAT'S NEXT
The Tigers wrap up their season with a 13-4 record, that inlcuded a 9-0 hom record and 11 shutouts.
