Announced by the Southern Athletic Association on Monday afternoon, sophomore swimmer Mary-Louise LeMieux has been named the Southern Athletic Association's (SAA) Swimmer of the Week following her performances in the weekend duals at Transylvania and Centre.
The Mandeville, La. native recorded five wins over the weekend, including taking the gold in the 500 free Friday and Saturday.
Against Transylvania University on Friday, Oct. 21, the sophomore posted three victories. She recorded gold in the 100 freestyle (55.87), the 200 freestyle (2:01.20) and the 500 freestyle (5:32.46).
The next day at SAA foe Centre, LeMieux picked up two more wins, cruising to a 4:57.92 her first 400 IM of the year and improving her 500 free time from a night ago with a 5:26.85.
Her 100 free and 500 free times are season-bests for the program in 2022-23.
LeMieux and the rest of the Tigers return home for the first time this season with the 21st Annual Sewanee Invitational. The festivities begin on Friday afternoon from the Fowler Center Natatorium.
