Last week, Coffee County Sheriff's Department and the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy conducted an Active Shooter response school. The training was held at the Coffee County Middle School and taught by Sergeant Daniel Ray and members of the TLETA Staff. This training was attended by several members of law enforcement including Coffee County Sheriff’s Department, Tullahoma PD, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, Moore County Sheriff's Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, District Attorney General’s Office, and THP. During this class, students were instructed on how to respond individually to an active shooter situation. Students received training on how to be tactically sound and confident while searching for an active threat.
