Census Bureau: 74.6 percent of people in Bedford County were old enough to vote in 2019

Of the 48,292 citizens living in Bedford County in 2019, 36,007 were old enough to vote as of Jan. 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 18,453 of those people were female and 17,554 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
